I now have debian kernel-image 2.6-686 (which is presently at 2.6.8-2-686) and for some time have been unable to burn pictures to a CD-R. Each time the 'Writing Files to Disk' GUI stops and so I close it to get this GUI message;
"File image creation failed. Incorrectly named files were to be added to the CD".
I haven't changed any style of file names, it's just as I download them from the digital camera.
In searching with google, the closest answer I come up with is on this link;

So this is as clear as mud to me as I don't want to go back to an old kernel-image etc.
How long till the people in the know fix this, or what can I do as a novice to get past this as I have no idea about how patches work with debian. Do I need to post this in the debian area?
Thanks for any help.
