Angry GNOME and Suse 9 - help

I am using SUSE 9.

After installing the software package GNOME under the selections filter under YAST installation, I cannot login using Gnome.

I diabled auto login, but under the LOGIN TYPE filter KDE is listed, but GNOME is not.

To sum up- I know for a fact GNOME is installed, but its not a listed login type option.

hmmm..... at a root terminal, type init 3. login as root, type SuSEconfig, once done type init 5. see if gnome has appeared on the list.
