simple question... anyone know the status of gnome 2.6 for suse??

they're not even releasing it with 9.1 and the rpms on the ftp site are still only for 2.4.1 - they're putting 2.4.2 in the 9.1 release.

i know suse is a kde shop but if you're going to make it available why not do it properly!!??

also, bugs the crap out of me that kde3.2 updates were out so quickly following its release.

i like suse, but i use gnome - time to find another distro perhaps???

any clues on gnome 2.6 status would be great - or even somewhere else to get them.

i tried compiling it myself - don't ask.

I dont use SuSE but I dont see why you couldnt use the rpm's from another distro(i.e. Red Hat or Fedora) or if you really want it download the source until SuSE rpm's are available.
