I have installed this program and absolutely love it, strange thing though i cannot manually change the fans speeds unless i log into X Windows with root access. I have changed all of the file permissions i can find that deal with fan control but still no fan control with my normal user. If i go to a terminal and try to manually control the fans with i8kctl or i8kfan i can control them all day long, but in GKrellm i cannot change them , the grapics on the fan change to moving faster but no fan control, log out then in as root and i can cotrol them perfectly,
