I installed gkrellm and tried to make it sticky by entering:
kstart --window gkrellm --alldesktops --ontop --skiptaskbar /usr/bin/gkrellm

It seemed to start OK, as it brought up the panels, but this showed up on my Konsole - just wondering if I should be concerned? Thanks for help.

[root@localhost gkrellm-2.1.4]# gkrellm
[root@localhost gkrellm-2.1.4]# kstart --window gkrellm --alldesktops --ontop --skiptaskbar /usr/bin/gkrellm
DCOPServer up and running.
[root@localhost gkrellm-2.1.4]# Mutex destroy failure: Device or resource busy
kdeinit: Fatal IO error: client killed
kdeinit: sending SIGHUP to children.
kdeinit: sending SIGTERM to children.
kdeinit: Exit.

Don't know if this will help you get what you want, but I am running gkrellm 2.1.5 and I right click on gkrellm and choose configure, then click on General. Then choose the Properties tab. Choose, "Set window type to be a dock or panel." This will put gkrellm on all of your workspaces and it won't show up in your pagers or anything.

Hope this helps
