Hi,

I have a symbolic link from /home/hedpe/.mozilla/plugins/libjavaplugin_oji.so to /opt/blackdown-jdk-1.4.2.01/jre/plugin/i386/mozilla/libjavaplugin_oji.so

This shows up when i do "aboutlugins" as "Java(TM) Plug-in Blackdown-1.4.2-01", and everything is enabled

Whenever I try to load a java applet, it loads up to the point where it asks "do you want to accept ___ certificate", and then i select "yes", and the firefox will just hang and lockup.

Does anyone have any suggestions to help me find why firefox is doing this?

What distro are you using? I'm using Mandrake 10.1 and I noticed that mine lags intermittently, but it doesn't just lock up. Check the documentaton on the java website. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I am using Gentoo, it's no problem.

I will check java's docs, if anyone else has any info let me know
