Firefox doesn't use gtk theme

Why doesn't Firefox use my gtk theme like Gaim and well any other gtk app do? Is there a setting or something I should change?

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure (90% sure) Firefox isn't a GTK app. If you want a GTK web browser, try Galeon or Epiphany. You'll lose all the cool extensions though. Personally, I use Epiphany for normal browsing, and switch to Firefox only when I want to download mass amounts of stuff while, erm, "adult browsing."

GTK2 right? I think it uses gtk buttons and stuff but the background color doesn't match. I really wish I could fix that.

Yeah. I notice the same thing. I actually have a background image on all elements, and in Firefox this background image is applied to the tab area background, but not the toolbar background, but the toolbar buttons themselves appear to be GTK buttons. Not sure what's up with that.
