FC4-Desktop


i upgraded from FC1 to FC4.
my /home/me is intact
i would like the FC4 desktop look w/ my
home directory data

You're question is really pretty confusing.. you mean your desktop just doesn't look new enough or something?? your desktop layouts are stored under .gnome2 for gnome and .kde3 for kde... if you delete the relevant directories you will effectivelly get a new bunch of settings for your desktop.

feel free to use punctuation and real sentences btw...

If you kept your home folder all the desktop settings should still be there, once you can logon with the same name as you had before. You'll need to add that user, since user name and passwords and stuff like that is stored in /etc, not /home.

More information about what exactly is wrong would be helpful
