FC2 OOo issue

Hi.

I have been using FC2 for quite some time now. Only recntly did I feel the need to use OOo writer. I was previously using Kwrite which serves well for my simple needs.

Now under OOo iI see taht I can't type numbers. That is instead of 1,2,3,4,5... I get boxes.

What/Why is this? I did a complete installation.

I have CTL enabled. Doesn't matter what I set my currency or the locale to, it still prints boxes, only for numbers, otherwise it is fine.

I can even type in hindi, no problem, just that it won't print numbers.

try turning it "OFF", and select the currency to default or any english one (like gbp (pounds) or something else)

Still doesn't help. I never changed the currency till now and it was set to $US(default), changed it some others and no effect.
