The issue appears to be with the wx I have installed which the severly lacking build instructions at http://nomadsync.sourceforge.net/lin...tructions.html said should be overridden by the config link it had me make to a locally extracted and compiled wxGTK. However making that config link clearly didn't have any effect and I was wondering if anyone could inform me how to make the link have an effect. Also, has anyone had success with this installation and can share how to perform it correctly with me?
Either would be much appreciated,
PhantmShado

personally i'd recommend you ignored nomadsync. it's not been updated for an age, and is pretty poor. check out banshee instead, a brand new gnome media player written in mono which uses libnjb-sharp to synchronize with nomads. failing that gnomad2 is also good.

but can this banshee sync? nomadsync truly is a perfect application for me and I did enjoy it on windows...
If you can provide any tool that will sync my two libraries though it would be most appreciated...
initiating banshee install,

just plug it in and banshee should find it. I was confused by the lack of menu optiosn and such, but it's all implicit on wether it finds a device or not. that is assumign it was compiled with njb support.

Recompiled with njb flag plugged in the device, and still nothing, any other suggestions?
