Error while making lineakd

When I try to use "make" command (I used "./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc" command before "make"), it gives me this error after a while:
make[2]: *** No rule to make target `lineakd.1.gz', needed by `all-am'. Stop.
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/lauri/lineakd-0.8beta1/lineakd'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/lauri/lineakd-0.8beta1'
make: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2

What to do? Using google (is there a verb to that?) didn't help.
