Question DVDRip (Transcode) cannot load shared object?

i cannot seem to get DVDRip (frontend for Transcode) to encode my dvd files into Divx.
I can encode into Xvid.
I am running SUSE 9.2 (64-bit)
the error i am getting or problem that is causing transcode not to encode into divx is:
...[export_divx5.so] libdivxencore.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

---
now i have that file in several places, i have it in /usr/lib ; /usr/lib64 ; /usr/lib64/transcode ; /usr/local/lib

but even so, i keep getting that error. If you can help/have any idea as to why it isnt accessing that file, please post a follow up to this thread.

thanks.

Did you happen to get the transcode, all dependencies and dvd::rip from packman.links2linux.org? If not, go get it there.

Yes i have transcode and dvd:rip with both of all their dependancies.

Do you think it could be something to do with the fact that i have a 64-bit version of linux installed?

I cannot play divx files either., nor xvid. but i can encode into xvid. but i need to encode into divx,

I have had the same problem with Fedora Core 3(64-bit).

I really dont understand what could be wrong.

well, if you have any other ideas, i would really apreciate them.

It may be. I'd suggest downloading all the source rpms of the codecs and using an rpmbuild --rebuild on them to see if you get working packages...
