Dumb gkrellm quesiton

I have the gamma correction plugin enabled on gkrellm. My monitor tends to be a bit dark and so I use this to lighten things up. Works great. But I want to ask, is there some sort of line I can put in the rc file or one of the other config files so that gkrellm with set this to the level I want on boot? I have to adjust it each time I login in.

I've looked through the docs and faqs I can find, and while there's a lot of good information, I can't find anything about this.

Thanks for any help.

Hi.

Edit your XF86Config (or xorg.conf) file, so that the Monitor section looks like:

Section "Monitor"
Identifier "Monitor0"
VendorName "Monitor Vendor"
ModelName "Unprobed Monitor"
HorizSync 30 - 105
VertRefresh 50.0 - 150
Option "dpms"
Gamma 1.35 1.35 1.35
EndSection

The 3 Gamma numbers are for red, green, yellow.

Pointyman,

I'll give that a try. I tried a couple of

Option "gamma etc "

But didn't get a lot.

Thanks,

stunter
