Hi all,
When running KDE's control center, under peripherals there appears to be a remote control section. Unfortunately, all buttons are disabled. Wanting to control my laptop with a remote control I made sure the IR was enabled in BIOS then from
lirc.org I got the latest version of lirc and followed the instructions. Configuration went fine but when compiling there seems to be a problem:

Being a newbie, I really don't wanna compile the kernel as told in
suse HOW-TO . Any chance that someone knows a workaround for this?
Thanks so much,
