SuSE 9.1 has the ATI drivers for the following Radeon cards:
Radeon 7500
Radeon 7500-7146
Radeon 7500 LE
Radeon 9000
Radeon 9100 QM
Radeon 9200 SE (DH)
Radeon 9700
The last one on the list will probably work fine with your Radeon 9800 card, but you may not get the 3D acceleration until you update the driver via YaST or otherwise you can download the correct driver from ATI and install it. If the rpm version refuses to install, use the tar.gz file instead. Bit more configuration to do, but also hands you more control over the installation.
