Could anyone tell me how to del directory


How can I del directory if it is not empty?

rm -rf directory

Does NOT ask, deletes recursive

yes the above rm -rf command will do it but it is a very powerful command and can easily get you in trouble if you are not very careful. It wont ask you anything or confirm anything it just does it. If your in the wrong directory or mistype something it's bye bye so be careful. I'm sure there's more than a few people here including myself who have went a little to fast and deleted something they didn't mean to.
