Connecting to a VPN

I am on CentOS (essentially Red Hat Enterprise Linux). I need to connect to a pptp VPN. I have tried many different approaches, to no success. I cannot find a built in utility within the operating system. I also looked at the pptpclient.sourceforge.net client. I have tried to install it using the Fedora guidelines, but the yum cannot find libxml or libglade (even though I have them) so it will not work.

What is the easiest way to connect to a pptp VPN in CentOS linux?

i would suggest exploring your packaging issues rather than giving up for a trivial reason. if you're following fedora guidelines are you using fedora rpm's if so then centos yum repos are totally different so it's not suprising it can't satisfy dependencies.
