Codecs needed for MPlayer?

I've just installed MPlayer. I used to have it installed a while back but I formatted my hard drive since. The problem is only x11 and xvidix work.

x11 is ok-ish but it doesnt stretch to full screen. xvidix used to work last time I had MPlayer installed but now all I get is sound and a stupid green screen.

how can i get xvidix to work again?

You should download codecs from www.mplayerhq.hu.

Try x11 and -zoom option.

video output have nothing at all to do with codecs...
