Centralized Business Email and Contacts Database

Hey All,

I'm trying to setup a system for my work which would allow everyone access all emails and use a centralized contact database of sorts. I'm not having luck searching google for an answer. I don't even know if something like this exists.

Has anyone seen something like this or know what I should be looking for?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It's way beyond anything I've worked with, but I believe that LDAP has that capability.
