centralized email woes ...

Hello,
I am trying to figure out a way to make it so that I can access my email from any of my machines.

I thought that I could install Thunderbird on my windows and linux boxes and have them all point to the same folders, which seems to work. the only woe is that it seems after the first time I connect from one the other will not have access to delete messages from the store, although it can see them. I have given full control to the folder in question so anyone connecting to it should be able to do so. Ideas?

Are you using POP or IMAP? IMAP would work best in these situations. Or you could just setup webmail if its your own mail server..
