Question Best way to perform a minimal clean install

I've installed RH7 a few times now with different configurations, partion settings etc and now wish to perform an installation that is both secure and reliable.

I need the following services:

Telnet
FTP
http
samba

I simply don't wish to have anything installed or running that is not required.

All help is apreciated!

Harry

you may want to look into LFS then.. www.linuxfromscratch.com , to build your own custom distro that is, with the things you want.

Or you can try Slackware 8.0. You can pretty much select only those packages and exclude everything else.
