Backing up over a network

I manage three linux servers running RedHat 8.0. We use NIS/NFS for sharing of disks between these machines. I want to know what is the best tool to backup entire folders. Something like the backup utility on Windows 2000 would be great. I want to back up folders on one machine onto another machine automatically.

I use rdist in a cron job that backs up some important directories to another linux node overnight. I have set it up to send me an email on completion so I can see which files have changes (it does differential after the first time).

rcp will help u.. to provide backup over the network ..
The modified version of rcp is rsync.. Try man pages for the
above things.. rsync is far better than rcp because
it will only the update the modified things...
