Hey everyone. I installed Antivir with the GUI. When I go to start the gui it errors and tells me that I don't have java installed. Yes I do, the latest one out. I have been trying to figure out this problem for a while now. If someone can help me that would be great.
OK, I figured out how to do that . After I type in the command and open the GUI everything is fine. I close the GUI and goto reopen it again it says the same thing, No java installed on system. Type in the command for it and it works again. Any ideas how to make it stick.
The command you're talking about is the set JAVA_HOME environment variable command?
that's because it will only last for however long your shell session is. If you want it to be permanent, you'll need to add the command to set the JAVA_HOME environment variable in your /etc/profile file. Log out, then log back in, and then try to use your menu shortcut.
