Well I am on a dual boot setup with XP and are sharing files with that system on a FAT32 partition.
I am unsure if I need it, but nonetheless it is fun to play with because I am new to linux.

There have been GUI addons in the past, but as of September this year the Antivir program includes its own GUI. My only experience is with downloading and running the text-based installer. Maybe you could remove the one you have and download the latest version from their website.

It is version -
AntiVir / Linux Version 2.1.3-43 +gui
The above is from when I run it in shell. It says +GUI but I have been unable to start it up with GUI.
btw it's fine like that, but do you happen to know if it is with GUI, and if, then how to fire it up?
About the registration. It's because it says that you can only update if you are registered.
But maybe there service is down. I will try again.
EDIT !
Just tried to update 2 sec after I made this post.
It worked perfectly.
Don't have a clue anymore to why I was thinking that I needed to be registered.
Thank you for your help.
