Unhappy A really annoying wine problem


Ok I installed wine a couple months ago and it was working perfectly and then something started to happened, some problems that i try to install (such as kiwi alpha) gives me this message that says "the folder name is not valid." I have my c drive too. I tried to install it to C:\Program Files\Kiwi Alpha can someone please help me this is really annoying

Does this happen with every app you try or just this one? Wine is only compatible with a small percentage of win32 apps. It could be that this is one that wine doesn't like. You can also try a different version of wine. I have one game that won't work with any version of wine after 20030115 so I keep that one installed and the current version built but not installed (make without make install). The most current version seems to have a problem building.

it also doesnt work with other stuff like Virtual DJ but the real problem is that it once did work, but ill try to install other versions of wine and see what happens
