a program to draw into the desktop?

hello, just wandering if there's ann app that allows you to use the desktop space as a canvas for small notes and such, I know there's thinks like kNotes (which I'm using right now) but just wanted to know if there were something like actually drawing the desktop thanks!

PS: I'm using KDE but the question applies to other DMs too

By "drawing" do you mean free-form (as with a pen or pencil)?

thanks for the welcome! yes I mean free-form like grabbing a pencil and drawing into the background image, I don't know enough of the kde internals as to be sure but afaik the background is just an image, in fact kwebdesktop creates an image based on an html and uses it as the wallpaper (not very useful since you lose the animations that the webpage might have) so I think it might not be very difficult to have something that "writes" or "draws" using the desktop background as canvas.
