open program in another desktop

I useally open programs such as AIM, Mozilla, ect. through the console. Is there anyway I can open AIM into say... desktop 3 from a console in desktop 1?

This seems not important, but i have bad hardware and a lot of things keep crashing, and it's annoying to keep sending AIM to desktop 3 and my browsers to desktop 2.

and no matter how I start my Mailer, it will always be on
Desktop3, lavaps will always be sticky, ...
