sendmail server not sending mails to domain with "-" hyphen


dear friends .. is it by default or come thing i am missing .. sendmail server is not able to send mails to domains having hypen in their name .. please advice how this can be sorted out .. thanks for the time and help

A little more information will be useful
please tell us your distro
post the error you are getting

#tail -20 /var/log/messages
#tail -20 /var/log/maillog
Code:
#sendmail -v (userid)
(post the output)

hmmm.. will send that.. i just tried to send the mails to other mail ids without - and it works perfect.. but with - i dont have any domain,.. our client is doing the test and sending the mail to their client having - in their domain .. any thing u want mi to check
error was
Message: SmtpException - Could not send mail with ApplicationId : 10124 - ToAddress : abc.xyz@domain-name.com due to: Mailbox name not allowed. The server response was: 5.1.8 <info@domain.MU>... Domain of sender address info@domain.MU does not exist Smtp Status Code: MailboxNameNotAllowed

Is that a valid domain name you are using with a hyphen?

or it seems your server is unable to resolve that domain name

do you get a authoritative answer on server

ok i just did the DIG and didnt got any answer .. tried the dig with yahoo domain got answer... then did nslookup on windows machine for the same domain.. got answer... that means my windows machine is able to resolve

and above error in last line also says MailboxNameNotAllowed
