scp usage


Hello

I have a folder /home/dryaf/Desktop/site and I want to copy its content to the folder ~/www/sitename in the remote server. How to do that ?
also does the scp copy also hidden files likes .htaccess ?

Did you read the man page on SCP??? That would be a good first step.
Code:
scp -r <source> <user id>@<destination:<path to copy to>
