Question processes/CPU Usage/Mem Usage desktop wallpaper

Hi Guys,

I've seen that some Linux systems (Parted Magic)have a wallpaper (I think)that shows the CPU usage, mem usage, processes running, etc.
Do you happen to know how to get it? I Googled it but I wasn't able to find any, maybe I'm not entering the right keywords.

I think what you are referring to is a see-through monitoring application, like Conky. Check it out.

It is also possible to do similar things with Gnome/KDE widgets, xrootconsole or transparent terminals.
