network connection refused


Hi,

I have 2 servers. when i tried to connect inside office , it works.
while at home even after vpn connected to my office , not able to login to the server which i could able to login inside office.

it says from home

network error: connection refused.

pls advise

you need to start by telling us what you're trying to connect with... ssh, http, ftp, vnc, rdp, could be a million different things. Generally a "connection refused" message when it works locally suggests a firewall is in the way somewhere.

It is ssh via putty . VPN is connected properly but not linux server via ssh

Hi,

I suspect that your VPN connection gives you a different IP range than your LAN so you might want to have a look at your firewall and permit SSH from VPN to LAN.
