For YOUR server? That would be hard to say unless we knew what YOUR server was. e.g. if its an old piece of feces AS/400 like we have here for a Legacy environment my guess would be no (without some major coding that is). For most other things the answer would be yes.

The Open Source package is called "openssl" (clever isn't it?). You should be able to find this neatly bundled for most distros. At worst you might have to download it and compile it for your system. Chances are you already have it installed if you're running Linux especially if you're using ssh.

LinuxCrazy,
I didn't get your question.
Do you want a free SSL certificate for some of your domain ?
Or you want to just install SSL certificate you have ?
Or You want to publish your own SSL certificate ?

So just to restate your issue - you were looking for a free certificate provider rather than a "free ssl". ssl is used for many things OTHER than certificates.

ssl != certificate

birjodh - you should open a new thread rather than appending to an old one. You'll get more visibility of it that way. The only people likely to see this one are the ones who originally posted on it.
