I'm trying to set up a backup using duplicity. I'm backing up to my server in the basement, over a LAN. I can run duplicity just fine, with no errors--but the files don't appear in the destination directory. Yet I can verify and restore just fine!
I can scp files to that directory (using scp protocol for duplicity as well) and they show up normally. I also tried ls -al (as root, for good measure) to double-check that duplicity doesn't hide files.
To back up, I used the command:
Code:
soren@Alice:~$ duplicity /home/soren/Anki scp://soren@ser/mnt/fileserver/hello --encrypt-key 473B661D
("ser" is set to the server's ip address in /etc/hosts; I tried with the IP just in case)
...and to restore:
Code:
soren@Alice:~$ duplicity scp://soren@ser/mnt/fileserver/hello /home/soren/restoration --encrypt-key 473B661D
The files appear in the "restoration" directory as expected after running restore. It's like duplicity is copying and retrieving files from a black hole.
Am I just using ls wrong or something? I feel like it's probably going to be something stupid, but I can't think of what it would be.
