Disable quota in Wordpress single site installation

Greetings all,

We have a running wordpress blog on Cent OS 6.4 64bit for some time now. This is a single site installation. Recently some of our users started to have errors like "Not enough space on blog for pictures".
Reading some documents showed that Multi domain / site installation of wordpress has quota system. But we are running single site installation. What could be the issue? Is there a limit to media upload in single site installation?

Any help would be appreciated.
