hello friends,

I am using RHEL5, and I want to configure a mail server, which can work with intranet as well as with internet. I mean like window exchange server any intranet user can mail outside the network by using mail server and any user can receive mail from internet via intranet mail server.

what will be the requirement for such setup??? (e.g. public ip or some thing else)
and from where I can get related tutorials or configuration steps?
which is best to use?? postfix or qmail or any other.

A good tip is: ZIMBRA.
www.zimbra.com, there is a open source version. Its easy and powerfull.
They have a very good documentation and a big forum.

my intranet is connected to internet via a proxy server. so can I achieve
above scenario, from that or I have to go for public ip.
