check_mem missing on nrpe

I posted a new thread as it was a reply. Sorry for that.. so I am posting it again

Guys...

O have compiled nrpe-2.12.tar.gz on my servers... A lot of plugins got installed. Except for check_mem plugin. It's not a problem on the file I downloaded. I have done that several times. I also download versions 2.12 and 2.13 and the check_mem is not there.

I tied to make it work with a perl script I found online but it's not the same thing. Doesn't look nice on the Nagios web front end.

All the others plugins are compiled. How can I add a complied check_mem as well?

Thank you

check_mem is part of the "nagios-plugins" bundle not the "nrpe" bundle. If you want to put it on a client that is running nrpe then you have to install both bundles on that client.

The "nrpe" bundle only has the nrpe client and the check_nrpe for checking nrpe clients from the Nagios master.

Similarly on the Nagios master you have to install "nagios", "nagios-plugins" and "nrpe" to get the Nagios master setup, the check_nrpe to check your clients from the master and the plugins to do many common checks (e.g. check_snmp for checking snmp services).
