Antivirus Software for Red Hat*

Hi
I have been trawling the net , at a much greater speed than the old windoze, I might add, for recommended antivirus software for linux. Can anyone suggest a reliable program and how critical is it needed. "Hopfully not too dumb of a Question"

ClamAV and F-Prot are normally the 2 most popular. As far as it's usefulness goes, if you are serving files to Windows (whether through a share or via email), definitely get one. Although the viruses don't affect Linux, you can still pass them on. Linux has, AFAIK, no viruses "in the wild" they are all proof of concept.

Good day!
I do have several window shares so it will be beneficial to run a antivirus program.
Cheers!
