Unhappy Yast and OpenOffice not opening?

Hi everyone,

problem here...YAST and OpenOffice are not opening anymore. Don't know what's wrong. Seems like I de-configured something inadvertely.

I'm logging as root and everything seems to open just fine...please advice.

Thanks!!

Log in as your normal user, open a terminal and try to run yast manually (by typing yast and pressing enter). You should get error messages. Try the same with OOo.

Thanks for the response. I did something odd to make both programs work again. Logged in as root, created a new user and deleted original user. Renamed new user after original user name. Restarted computer. Everything is back to normal. Odd, solution, but it worked!
