Yaboot won't install!

Hi. This is my first Linux install, so bear with me. I am trying to install Kubuntu on an external HD via USB. I get almost all the way through the install, and then it fails to install the yaboot. Why is this and how can I fix it? Can someone please help me?

where are you trying to install it? you don't want to install it on the external drive, unless that is ur primary hard drive. Is it giving you any other errors, other than yaboot failed to install?
