Reinstalling yaboot

I have an Imac with os9 - osX and ubuntu.

After the install of ubuntu osX was gone (could not boot)

From Os9 I then booted OSX but that way I lost the possibility to start

The Os should still be there but I tried a rescue cd but it didn't give me any
information where the os is. I got a lot of partitions (10 or so) and I think
it is on number 13 (because of the size) Number 12 has a size of 100mb
possible a swap ? From the live cd I tried fdisk and CFdisk to get some information but they are not available.

Can any one give me some help how I do get Yaboot working again.
I tried something from a live cd but I don't like to destroy the whole thing.

Thank you in advance

first of all a Knoppix cd can be your best friend in this case...

Of course you shouldn't really need it--
Understanding that reinstalling 'grub' is a simple matter of issuing the command /etc/grub-install <1st partition>
it seems it would be similarly as uncomplicated for yaboot on ppc install.

Have you tried something similar?
