vector linux package issue


in mandrake if i want to install some software
i do

Code:
urpmi <sometringinprogramname>
it shows me the programs that contain that string
wich it finds in its database(wich needs gradual
update) and i hit again
Code:
urpmi <exactprogramname>
and it downlaods than installs the rpm
and that would be all but in vector linux
i dont know how to do this...
i need help
