Suse 9.1 and ISA Ethernet

I have an NE2000-compatible ISA Ethernet card that was detected automatically by Suse 8.1 and Red Hat 9.0 (using the ne module), but is not detected by Suse 9.1. I've tried installing the ne module manually, with with the relevant IRQ and I/O settings (that worked in Suse 8.1); but modprobe gives the error "No such device or address". Is there an obvious reason for this?

Thanks,
Tom

Isn't it possible that ISA devices are no longer supported on kernel series 2.6.x? ISA buses aren't built nowadays.
Try to install under suse 9.0 (kernel 2.4), or look at www.kernel.org to search for documentation.
