Stopping update downloades in Fedora 7

Hi,
I accidently clicked on download available updates. Now it has become a big nuisance. I just want to stop it, but it is not allowing me to do so. Any suggestions.

I think that you can stop it ny turning off the yum-updatesd daemon.
chkconfig yum-updatesd off

you can then use command line to update.
Also try
chkconfig -- list | grep yum

chkconfig -- list | grep pup

chkconfig -- list | grep pirut

For completeness
