Opensuse.org is behaving strangely. It's not letting me forward my messages to multiple recipients. When I tried to do that it closed the connection. The initial person I mailed to is the first person on the members list and he last logged in 2010, so no chances he's gonna reply. Will there be no end to my troubles?
som@linux-ua26:~> Lyx
If 'Lyx' is not a typo you can use command-not-found to lookup the package that contains it, like this:
cnf Lyx
som@linux-ua26:~> ufw status
If 'ufw' is not a typo you can use command-not-found to lookup the package that contains it, like this:
cnf ufw

Top in a terminal window reports statistics about running processes.
My openSUSE forum email account is fubar, but the forums themselves are working normally. Why are you trying to forward messages there? Which forum have you posted in there, under what username?
If you actually want to direct email to particular people, email addresses are available in posts coming from their subscribers. You could subscribe via https://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-support/ and post your wish or problem and I would be able to see it and respond.
Lyx isn't part of a standard installation, but is available via YaST -> Software, or via this command in a terminal:
Something called Web content is eating up too much memory, several of such processes are running. What are they?
Top isn't showing me any processes called "Web content". I suppose this is something resulting from web browser script or VPN usage. How much RAM does your laptop have? Which web browser(s) is/are you running? What other apps do you have open?
I installed LYX via YAST2. My laptop has 4gb RAM. I am running Mozilla. Apart from that I have system monitor a terminal and a window for posting to the mailing list you suggested.
That mailing list mail window is not allowing me to paste my email address, as that space isn't clickable. I want to end this thread and migrate to the mailing list, but somehow things are conspiring against me.
Which Mozilla? Firefox? Pale Moon? SeaMonkey? Other? Which version (help->about will tell you)?
Which mail program are you using? The only mail program I use is SeaMonkey, so I cannot provide instruction how to use others.
To send a message to a mailing list, first subscribe according to the instructions for subscribing, then follow the instructions you get by email when the subscription succeeds. You don't need to paste your own address into an email you are sending, because when you set up your email account you already put it in, and it gets automatically included when composing or replying to a message.
To end this thread, stop posting, preferably after adding "solved" to the thread subject.
Mozilla Firefox.
Tried to install Sea Monkey but saying could not connect to the internet, is it because my firewall is on? In that case how to allow download.opensuse.org?

Somdatta, of course you can continue posting here and maybe you'll get more help from some kind soul, but the polite and prudent thing to do is to move further discussion to another forum. https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...e-opensuse-60/ is available here if you are having trouble accessing others.
