programs that load with KDE or Gnome

How do I get a program to load when Gnome or KDE starts? I've installed some eye-candy aps and monitors but when I log out of X and log back in I have to manually start them.

Using MDK 9.2. Thanks!

In kde put a link to it in /home/user/.kde/Autostart substitute user for the name you login with.
