Problem of using Samba in Konqueror

Hi,

I have a problem of browse windows shared drives using samba in Konqueror.

I have built samba and cifs in the kernel and installed samba. Both "smbmount" and "mount -t cifs" works fine.

Now I wanna setup samba in Konqueror so that I can browse my windows shared directory. However, when I type "smb://<host name>/<directory>, it gave me an error "protocal not supported: smb".

Can any one let me know how to solve this problem?

I am using Gentoo 2008.1 by the way.

It sounds like you may not have samba client installed. They are separate packages on most systems.
