Printing failure on Fedora4/KDE

I installed Turboprint for a Canon i960 and iP3000. Both were recognized and
worked perfectly. I tried to print from Mozilla, but it got stuck in que and
failed to go to either printer. Turboprint shows both stopped-if started from
TP or KDE print services they stop again as soon as a print job is sent and the
job gets stuck in que. I have tried deleting and re-installing, and all settings
seem OK. Both printers work from OS/2, so it is not a hardware issue, and I did
get one test page out from the root desktop before they stopped again.
These printers were working with Open Office, Word via Crossover, etc.
Any idea what would kill a working print system and how I might fix it? I have
spent many hours trying settings and re-installs.

Thank you
Louis

I should add that both printers are USB, and recognized by the system.

Not sure how or why but I got it fixed using root Control Center.
If this keeps up I won't be a newbie for long.
