Printer Test page

Hello

I have installed Linux on my computer for the first time to learn it, but I cannot use it properly.

I set up my printer with the help of my friend, but now I don't know how to print a test page in Linux. I cannot print a test page online because I don't have an internet connection on my computer.

Please help me!

Thanks

Open this link in your browser: http://localhost:631

Select Printers. If your printer does not show up, click on Administration and add your printer.

Once you have the printer configured, you can print a page to it from your browser.

You don't mention what make or model your printer is; HP, Epson, Canon?

If it's an HP printer you should install hplip which will give you both the required drivers plus an applet on the panel for the HPLIP Status service. The test page can be printed from here. You also have access to the supplies usage display and the means to clean the print heads and align them if needed.
Hope that helps.

Play Bonny!
