PAVU 1% when i insert my headphone


HEADPHONE OR PAVU 1%

why everytime in Debian buster 10,i insert my headphone into my laptop it shows me volume 1% and every time i have to increase the volume?

Have you tried anything to diagnose this?

Like setting your volume to some value other than 1% and then plugging in your headphone?

Or determining if other distributions that this does, or doesn't happen?

Maybe the PA folks (of the Debian folks) are trying to protect the hearing of people who accidently plug in their headphones with the volume cranked to 100%.

(Just a thought...)

that's what I am thinking, anti-blowURearsOutProtection.

You might want to look into pa and see if you can get a default volume setting for your home/.pa/config (path is not a real path).
