Ctrl-Insert and Shift-Insert don't work

Hi all.
Maybe I'm loosing something...
I installed Slackware 13.37 current 32 bit (kernel 2.6.38.7-smp) last saturday and almost everything works fine.
I don't understand why I cannot use Ctrl-Ins and Shift-Ins shortcuts for copy and paste in console terminal.
Shortcuts works fine in X terminal (fluxbox) Konsole... but they don't in text console.
Any suggestion?
Thanks in advance

When you write "console terminal" do you mean one of the virtual terminals reached from a graphics session by pressing Ctrl+Alt+F<n> where <n> is 1 to 6? (The one reached by Ctrl+Alt+F1 is the boot console).

I'm not 100% about this but ...

If so then Ctrl+Ins and Shift+Ins will not work because they are X key combinations and X is only running on the Ctrl+Alt+F7 screen.
